CODE-crossing hardman Paul Gallen is set to fight Manly-Warringah prop Josh Aloiai in Newcastle next month.
Gallen, 40, has agreed to fight Aloiai at the EntCent on December 10, in what will be the former Cronulla, NSW and Kangaroos lock's 14th professional bout.
There are expected to be a host of former NRL players fighting on the undercard, including ex-Knights Joey Leilua, Chris Heighington and Nathan Ross.
Olympic bronze medallist Harry Garside is also expected to make his professional debut.
Aloiai, 25, reportedly has a boxing background and laid down the challenge to Gallen after the latter's recent loss to Justis Huni.
It is expected the Gallen-Aloiai stoush will be staged over eight two-minute rounds, not the three-minute rounds that Gallen originally requested.
