Paul Finebaum weighs in on status of UGA

Georgia hasn’t been overly impressive in the last two weeks. After a stunning home overtime loss to the undermanned South Carolina Gamecocks, the Dawgs responded by beating Kentucky, but the win still left a lot to be desired, particularly on the offensive end.

SEC Network analyst Paul Finebaum recently weighed in on how he sees Georgia in relation to the rest of the college football landscape.

“I think [head coach Kirby Smart] played it pretty conservatively. Now fortunately for him, he has two weeks to figure it all out, exact same position he was in a year ago when all was lost after LSU eviscerated the Dawgs down at Tiger Stadium,” Finebaum said on his show. “I still think Georgia is a contender.”

The Dawgs will certainly need to figure things out quickly if they want to defeat the rival Florida Gators for a third consecutive year on November 2nd.
