Paul Finebaum says ‘Georgia doesn’t want Alabama’
I actually disagree with this one. If Georgia ends up making the SEC Championship, I would much rather the Dawgs play Alabama than this LSU team.
ESPN’s Paul Finebaum, however, thinks that Georgia would prefer to avoid Alabama at all costs and would rather go up against LSU.
“Georgia doesn’t want Alabama,” Finebaum said. “They’ve been down that road, and they’ve had the same result. And that’s the problem.
“I’ve talked to Kirby Smart about this, and he said, ‘Oh, Nick Saban. No big deal.’ It is a big deal. It’s student verses pupil. He definitely wants a shot at Ed Orgeron, who’s a good coach, but he’s not Nick Saban.”
Both are great teams, but I think Georgia matches up better with Alabama than it does with LSU. We’ll dive more into that at a later date.
