Paul Finebaum predicting Notre Dame will get ‘destroyed’ by Georgia on Saturday

While appearing ESPN’s “Get Up,” the SEC Network’s Paul Finebaum discussed the upcoming Georgia vs Notre Dame game on Saturday.

Finebaum has high expectations for The Bulldogs against the Irish, predicting Georgia to beat up on Notre Dame in Athens.

“I’m expecting what always happens when Notre Dame goes on the road against a top 5 team — they get destroyed,” Finebaum said. “You hate to call a game on a Tuesday, but I’m calling it. Notre Dame is not going to compete in this game, they do not matchup up well with Georgia. Georgia is so much faster. They have a very solid quarterback, so does Notre Dame, but Notre Dame cannot compete in this environment.”

That’s a pretty serious prediction, especially considering that Notre Dame is such a highly ranked opponent. If Georgia does in fact “destroy” the Irish, you’dhave to think UGA would have a shot at overtaking Clemson for the top spot, or at least trading places with Alabama.
