Ghostbusters director Paul Feig has laid into a paparazzi photographer who “illegally” captured images of Thor star Chris Hemsworth on the set of the supernatural comedy remake.
Everyone should know that the picture of Chris Hemsworth was illegally taken on a closed set and released without our permission. Just FYI.

A photograph of the Australian actor riding a motorbike has featured heavily on film websites this week. Hemsworth sports a khaki outfit with orange stripes similar to the threads worn by the main Ghostbusters quartet of Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy in the female-fronted reboot. While there is no proton pack in sight, the shot has fuelled speculation he will have more to do than just answer phones in the supernatural comedy.
Fans and bloggers speculated that Feig might be upset because the photograph gives away an essential plot twist. Ghostbusters has been filming this week at the historic Castle building on the Boston University grounds. Local websites posted shots of the property transformed into the “Aldridge Mansion Museum”, reputedly New York’s oldest private home and museum, for filming. Feig has been shooting in Boston, which doubles for the Ghostbusters’ traditional Big Apple locale, since June.

Hemsworth, who signed up in June after Feig agreed to beef up his part, steps into the shoes of Annie Potts, who played receptionist Janine Melnitz in 1984’s Ghostbusters and its 1989 sequel.
