Paul Daley vs. Sabah Homasi to co-headline Bellator 232

A pair of well known knockout artists will serve as the co-main event for Bellator 232.

Welterweight sluggers Paul Daley and Sabah Homasi are set to face off at the Oct. 26 event from Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

ESPN.com‘s Ariel Helwani first reported the booking, which was subsequently confirmed to MMA Junkie by a Bellator official.

Homasi (13-8 MMA, 2-1 BMMA), a UFC veteran, made quite the statement in his promotional debut for Bellator, knocking out Micah Terrill in just 17 seconds at Bellator 225 this past month. It was his second straight win following a three-fight skid that led to his release from the UFC.

Daley (41-17-2 MMA, 7-4 BMMA), one of MMA’s most famous knockout artists, is three months removed from a decision win over fellow UFC vet Erick Silva, which snapped a two-fight skid that saw him ousted from the Bellator welterweight grand prix in; a snoozer fight with rival Michael “Venom” Page led to a decision loss.

Bellator’s eight-man, welterweight grand prix concludes in the headliner of Bellator 232 when champ Rory MacDonald rematches Douglas Lima with gold and $1 million on the line.
