Paul Chuckle declares love for Irn Bru as he hails it 'best drink to ever exist'

Ever popular children's TV star Paul Chuckle has revealed something most Scots already knew - Irn-Bru is amazing.

The Chucklevision star, real name Paul Elliott, posted a photograph of himself on his official Facebook page holding up two cans of Scotland's other national drink outside the Savoy Park Hotel in Ayr.

He then added the caption: "The best drink to ever exist".

The post delighted Scots fans who flocked to agree, with one pointing out that it tastes even better in the bottle than the can.

Paul, who is better known as one half of the iconic Chuckle Brothers duo with his late brother Barry, was visiting Ayr when he stopped for the photo.

The pic was then shared by the official Irn-Bru page with the tag: "2 ME 2 BRU", where it's had nearly 6,000 likes.

With a commentator responding: "He's not wrong."

And another adding that Paul was a "legend".

When one fan pointed out that he should try the new 1901 Irn-Bru, stating: "You need to try the original Paul you’ll never go back."

Paul replied that he'd already tried it and that it was "bloody great".

While others suggested that he should try the Irn-Bru flavoured sweets such as jelly babies or Bon Bons.

One fan who was pining for the original recipe, quipped: "This isn't the best drink in the world. It's just a tribute. Put a request in Paul. Bring back the old Bru!"
