A technical architect has been appointed to work on Everton FC's new Bramley Moore Dock stadium plans.
Pattern, which is currently involved with the Qatar World Cup, will work alongside US architect Dan Meis' firm to deliver the ambitious plans .
It's understood the appointment follows a tender process, with Pattern, which has offices based in London, Edinburgh and Peru, chosen by Meis Architects.
It follows the designs for the new 52,000-seater stadium being released last month, when fans were invited to a special event at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool.
Mr Meis has 30 years of experience in architecture, and was appointed to the project in 2017.
It's understood that it's common practice for foreign architects to appoint UK-based architects familiar with the country's regulations and rules.

Sports specialist Pattern is currently working on the Qatar World Cup taking place in 2022, acting as lead architects on projects such as the Al Rayyan Stadium.
The firm's founder Dipesh Patel was also the architect for Manchester City's Etihad Stadium, built as the City of Manchester Stadium back in 2002.
Pattern also designed venues for the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.
The news means Sheppard Robson, which was previously helping advise Meis Architects, will have no further involvement on the Mersey front scheme.
A statement from Meis Architects made to the Building Design website said: "Sheppard Robson were helpful in the early stages but Pattern were added for their sports experience as the development of the project proceeded."
Everton, who are set to move from their Goodison Park home after over a century, declined to give further comment.
