Police arrested 12 Chinese men who tested positive for drug use and 20 Vietnamese women working illegally during a raid on a Pattaya pub early Sunday morning.
Officers searched Space Club at about 3am, while reporters were kept outside. Around two hours later, police allowed roughly 200 patrons to leave. Most were Chinese tourists, along with some Thai women.
Police subsequently arrested 12 Chinese men after their urine tests indicated drug abuse, and apprehended 20 Vietnamese women who did not have work permits.
