Pattaya hosts transgender Miss International Queen pageant

Pattaya once again welcomes transgender beauty queens from all over the world who are competing for the title of Miss International Queen, a world-famous contest that has been held annually since 2004. This year, 20 finalists are vying for the crown. The national costume and talent quest was held over the weekend. Contestants will undergo the preliminary round and swimsuit contest on Wednesday, with the final round to be held on Friday at Tiffany's Show Theatre, Pattaya, where a winner will be crowned by the reigning queen, singer Nguyen Huong Giang from Vietnam.

To date, Thailand has had the most wins from the pageant stage, with four, including Asian superstar Poyd Treechada, the first titleholder, who was crowned in 2004. The Philippines has the second most wins, with two.

Witness the extravagant production and support the queen of your choice at Tiffany's Show Theatre. Follow the preliminary round on March 6 via Facebook live at Miss International Queen's official Facebook page, from 2pm onward. For the final round, on March 8, the show starts at 9pm.
