Pattani bike bomb injures five

PATTANI: A bomb hidden on a motorcycle exploded and injured four policemen and a villager on Highway 409 in tambon Thung Phla of Khok Pho district on Friday.

The attack happened about 400m from the Na Pradu police station about 11.30am. The bomb on the parked motorcycle was detonated while police detectives were passing on their vehicle.

The injured people were identified as Pol Lt Manoon Kaewkabthong, 56, Pol Lt Chatree Kaeokan, 51, Pol Sen Sgt Maj Apiwat Boonkaeopet, 34, Pol Sgt Maj Jatupol Akrapibul, 41, and villager Leemo Totay, 65.
