Patsy Palmer swaps Hollywood for Berkshire living ahead of Dancing On Ice appearance

Pasty Palmer has swapped Hollywood for the Home Counties after relocating to the UK in her quest to win Dancing on Ice.

The star has temporarily moved to Berkshire with her family ahead of the ITV show, which kicks off a week on Sunday.

The ex- EastEnders star has been training on ice rinks in Los Angeles with Matt Evers, who is also based in the US.

But she is now staying near Windsor as she throws herself into the show, which is fronted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

The star moved to the US with her husband Richard Merkell, and their children Fenton, 22, Emilia, 21, and Bertie, 12, in 2014.

Patsy, who played Bianca on the BBC soap alongside Sid Owen as Ricky, has said: “I’m not competitive but this time I’m going to say let’s try and win it.

“I’m going to focus on the training and use meditation, and this will really put it to the test for me.”

She added she made a “pact to get out of my comfort zone”, saying: “This is for all the 50 year olds. I’m quite scared now.”

The first images of the 11 celebrities competing in the 15th series of the show have been revealed by ITV.

The stars will be judged by Olympians Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo and former Strictly Come Dancing dancer Oti Mabuse

  • Dancing on Ice returns Sunday January 15, 6.30pm, ITV1 and ITVX
