There was yet more drama for Good Morning Britain on Wednesday, when former EastEnders star Patsy Palmer stormed off a video interview after taking exception to how she was referred to in an on screen caption.
Patsy, famous to millions of viewers for playing iconic soap character Bianca Jackson, appeared on the ITV show to speak to hosts Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid from her home in America where she now lives.
And things immediately got off to a rather awkward start when, questioning the 48-year-old on her move over the Atlantic, Ben asked the ex EastEnders actress: "Did you move to get away from people shouting 'Ricky' at you in the street?"
Patsy replied: "Um, not really not just for that reason, maybe one of them."
"You have done what Meghan and Harry did which is get away from the UK, to go off to California and set up a new life," Susanna remarked, before adding: "And I know you've spoken out about Meghan and Harry before, I wonder if you do get more privacy over there?"
But that's as far as things went as, noticing the caption about her read 'addict to wellness guru', Patsy, who appeared on The Masked Singer UK last year, fumed: "You know what, I don't even want to do this interview, because I don't even want to look what it says at the bottom of that screen.
"So I am just going to switch off, do a real Piers Morgan, and say it's not okay to have 'addict to wellness guru' on the bottom of the screen."
She added: "My issues that I had years ago, that were talked about many years ago, and it's over, so I am not going to talk to you, don't worry about it but I don't want to talk to you," and brought the video call to an abrupt end.
Ben said: "It wasn't our intention, Patsy, certainly wasn't our intention to hurt Patsy," explaining to viewers at home that the tag 'addict to wellness guru' was a quote from her book.
Before she then had a dig at Patsy, Susanna also offered her apologies, saying: "I have no idea that was on the a screen, that's a terrible shame, our apologies to Patsy, she is entitled not to do the interview and we carry on."
Patsy 'doing a Piers' was of course in reference to the now ex GMB presenter storming out of the studio last week following a c;ash with colleague Alex Beresford over Meghan Markle, which was then followed by an announcement that he'd quit the show.
