Patsy Palmer's Good Morning Britain interview prompted 'crisis meeting' on show

Good Morning Britain bosses are reported to have held a 'crisis meeting' in the wake of Patsy Palmer's awkward and very short-lived appearance on the show this week.

Former EastEnders star Patsy joined Wednesday's hosts Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid via video from her home in Malibu but swiftly ended the call after being angered by an on screen caption which referred to as as 'addict to wellness guru'.

Abruptly ending the chat, the 48-year-old fumed: "You know what, I don't even want to do this interview, because I don't even want to look what it says at the bottom of that screen.

So I am just going to switch off, do a real Piers Morgan, and say it's not okay to have 'addict to wellness guru' on the bottom of the screen."

She added: "My issues that I had years ago, that were talked about many years ago, and it's over, so I am not going to talk to you, don't worry about it but I don't want to talk to you," and stormed off the call."

While Susanna and Ben both apologised, with Ben claiming 'addict to wellness guru' was something Patsy wrote in her own book, Patsy then took to Instagram to declare: ""I haven't written a book in 20 years so don't believe that!

Susanna Reid takes shot at Patsy Palmer after she cuts short GMB interview

Guess what people! People change and grow and live happy healthy lives, so stop trying to make people feel small and worthless.

"Finish it now""

And now it is being reported that GMB producers held a meeting about the Patsy interview, with a source telling The Sun: "On Thursday, the GMB production team were summoned to a meeting about the handling of Patsy’s chat.

"Her interview was viewed as a disaster as obviously upsetting anyone is the last thing anyone would want.

"It was made clear to some members of the team that this was a crisis meeting as there were issues that needed addressing quickly."

Ending her Instagram post on the matter, Patsy wrote: "Thank you for all of your kind words. Hopefully you will all start living your best lives from now on., not from then now.

"Move on...we are supposed to change! It's a human condition. Can't you see how controlled we are!"
