Patsy Kensit is ageless as she poses make-up free in bath before EastEnders debut

Patsy Kensit stripped off for a relaxing bath as she prepares to join the chaos of Albert Square as the latest recruit to EastEnders.

The soon to be soap star looked youthful as she posed for the camera with a makeup free face and her blonde hair scraped back, artfully positioning herself so the cheeky snap didn't reveal too much.

The 54-year-old actress, who is known for roles in Emmerdale and Holby City, will join the EastEnders cast as character Lola Pearce's mum Emma Harding.

The soap will show the mother and daughter pair try to mend their relationship as Lola deals with her heartbreaking brain tumour diagnosis.

Kensit's character disappeared from daughter Lola's life when she was just three years old, but is set to appear on the Square early in the new year. BBC has yet to reveal if Emma will be a support for daughter Lola or if there will be another storyline unfolding for viewers.

Whilst she gets to grips with her new lines for the soap, Patsy has teased fans with a steamy selfie over the Christmas break.

In her cheeky picture, Patsy posted to Instagram with two Santa emojis: "Happy Christmas".

Fans rushed in to congratulate the actress on her saucy selfie. One fan joked: "Merry Christmas Patsy! Quite happy to pop around and wash your back for you!!!"

Another added: "You've not aged one bit Patsy."

A third agreed, as they commented: "Forever fabulous. What’s the secret please."

"Happy Christmas you look stunning," wrote another.

The snap comes ahead of Patsy making her debut to EastEnders and becoming a face in Albert Square. The star confirmed she's already joined the cast and begun filming.

Discussing joining the famous soap, Patsy said: "I’m so excited to be visiting Walford for this storyline. It has always been a dream of mine to appear in EastEnders.

Patsy has held roles in other soaps including BBC's Holby City (BBC)

"The cast, producers, writers and crew have been wonderful, and I’ve had a ball. Thank you so much for having me."

In previous interviews, Patsy declared getting a part in EastEnders as a "dream role" as she said she always "wanted to be like Peggy Mitchell".

EastEnders' executive producer, Chris Clenshaw, praised Patsy joining the soap as he said: "We’re delighted to welcome the wonderfully talented Patsy to the EastEnders family.

"She’s the perfect fit to take on the role of such a long-awaited character that we know very little about."

The arrival of Patsy Kensit comes just as household name Danny Dyer exited the soap in a fiery Christmas storyline that had viewers gripped.
