Patryk Klimala Celtic transfer details revealed as Polish striker closes in on Glasgow switch

Celtic have agreed a £3.5 million deal to sign Polish striker Patryk Klimala.

And the highly-rated Polish attacker is now set to pen a four-and-a-half year contract with the champions after jetting into Glasgow on Sunday night to complete the formalities.

The 21-year-old is set to undergo a medical on Monday and will then sign papers on a tie-up which will
last until 2024 provided there are no unforeseen problems with the health checks.

Manager Neil Lennon has ticked a major box in his transfer window wish-list with the move to beat Italians Genoa to the signature of the talented 21-year-old.

Record Sport revealed the interest in Klimala five days ago and Celtic chiefs made an agreement with his club Jagiellonia Bialystok to be the ones to meet the buy-out clause for the striker of €4m.

Klimala rocketed onto the radar of the Parkhead scouting network with a string of stylish shows while netting seven goals in 16 games for Jagiellonia in the first-half of the season.

Rated as an impressive young striker with huge
further potential, Celtic have made a crucial move to offer scoring support to talisman Odsonne Edouard.

Lennon had made it clear he wanted attacking provisions
for the charge towards success domestically and in the Europa League until the end of the season and landing Klimala
will be a huge boost for the champions in their quest.
