Michel led New England to a Super Bowl LI win with an impressive set of playoff performances. After that, he was known for inefficiency and injuries — until the end of last season. That’s when he started to come on (again). That’s also probably why the Patriots decided to trade him now. His value has not been this high since his rookie season.
And the Rams traded the Patriots a fourth-round and a sixth-round pick for the running back — which is a surprisingly agreeable return for New England.
