The New England Patriots (6-6) stay on the road in Los Angeles to play the Rams (8-4) on Thursday night.
New England has won four of its last five games and the margin for error is extremely slim for playoff hopes. If the Patriots were to make the playoffs, they’d have to win out and have a few other games go in their favor. The Rams have one of the league’s hottest offenses and Jared Goff hasn’t forgotten about the loss he took in the Super Bowl to Bill Belichick.
The Rams are one of the hottest passing offenses in the league, but they’ve struggled on the ground. New England has picked up its run defense and the 45-0 drubbing of the Los Angeles Chargers proved that last week. The Patriots aren’t the team they would like to be, but they still have the potential to win on any given week.
