The New England Patriots will host the Carolina Panthers for their third preseason matchup.
New England and Carolina have matched up five times in the past six seasons and the Panthers pulled away with a 25-14 preseason victory last season. The Patriots have went through some growing pains this offseason, but they are heading into this matchup undefeated in the preseason. Carolina is heading into the game with a 1-1 record.
The Panthers have held out their prominent starters thus far, but they will play Cam Newton, Christian McCaffrey, Luke Kuechly and the rest of the starters on Thursday. Tom Brady said that he hopes to play against Carolina, and it will be another huge test for the wide receiver roster battle.
