The New England Patriots (6-0) will hit the road to square off against the New York Jets (1-4) on Monday night.
New England has relied heavily on their defense this season and that trend will likely continue with the absence of Josh Gordon. He sustained a knee injury in Week 6 against the New York Giants — which leaves the Patriots with Julian Edelman, Phillip Dorsett, Jakobi Meyers and Gunner Olszewski left at wide receiver.
The Jets picked up their first win of the season under Sam Darnold, who missed four games with an illness. Darnold’s return has brought optimism to a team that struggled mightily in the first five weeks. New England beat the Jets at home in Week 3, but Monday night’s game could be a little different with the new circumstances.
