Wide receiver Julian Edelman has spent his entire career in New England, which means he’s had plenty of time to perfect his Bill Belichick impression. At an event promoting the launch of his upcoming Showtime documentary, 100%: JULIAN EDELMAN, Edelman said that he was worried his coach might think that the project was “distraction,” and slid into the NFL legend’s persona for a few lines.
“Coach Belichick would probably say something like, ‘you know, we’re not on the program of making these kind of things right now. This is the National Football League. This isn’t Hollywood.'”
Edelman’s made some huge strides in his delivery since 2017, when he reluctantly attempted to read a blurb Belichick wrote for his book in Belichick’s voice.
