Julian Edelman is having a rough offseason. First, he lost quarterback Tom Brady to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And on Tuesday, Edelman saw that tight end Rob Gronkowski was joining the quarterback.
And so when the news broke that Gronk would be coming out of retirement after getting traded to the Buccaneers, NFL fans begin to think of Edelman. He quickly became the butt of the joke on Twitter. Edelman feels like the lone survivor of the Brady-era on offense. He’s stuck with New England, with two years left on his contract. He’s not leaving unless Bill Belichick decides to trade Edelman, too.
