Patriots sign rookie WR Gunner Olszewski

The New England Patriots signed undrafted rookie wide receiver Gunner Olszewski on Thursday.

The Patriots have signed undrafted rookie WR/PR Gunner Olszewski of Division II Bemidji State (Minnesota). Olszewski, who played CB in college, was present at today's voluntary organized team activity, wearing No. 72.

Olszewski played cornerback in college at Bemidji State and also spent time as a punt returner. He logged 310 tackles and 13 interceptions in college, while returning 69 punts for 923 yards and a touchdown. He ran a 4.56 40-yard dash at his pro day, along with a 6.88-second three-cone drill.

He served as a wide receiver and punt returner in the Patriots’ spring practice on Thursday. Here’s a quick highlight clip of his punt return in college.
