Patriots sign linebacker LaRoy Reynolds to practice squad

The New England Patriots added some depth at the linebacker position by signing LaRoy Reynolds on Thursday to the practice squad.

Reynolds, 31, spent the past two months on the New York Jets’ practice squad and he was released on Tuesday. He played in one game with the Jets and he recorded one tackle in the matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Reynolds spent time with the Patriots after signing with the team last March, but he was cut with an injury settlement in May. He’s been a core special teamer his entire career, as he’s spent time with eight different teams in his throughout his time in the league.

The Patriots are preparing for their season finale in Week 18 against the Miami Dolphins on the road.
