Patriots' Rob Gronkowski expected to miss Jets game, report says

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. _ The Jets may catch a bit of a break on Sunday.

According to an ESPN report, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is expected to miss his second straight game with a perforated lung.

The 6-foot-6, 265-pound pass-catcher hasn't played since Nov. 13, when he suffered the injury against Seattle.

His absence is a plus for the struggling Jets (3-7). But the Patriots (8-2) have plenty of weapons, including future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady, receiver Julian Edelman and tight end Martellus Bennett.

Gronkowski has 540 receptions and three touchdowns on 25 catches in seven games this season.
