Patriots reportedly intend to make heavy use of Antonio Brown vs. Dolphins

The New England Patriots intend to feed receiver Antonio Brown in his first week with the team against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Brown signed with the Patriots last Saturday, and is at Hard Rock Stadium ahead of the team’s Week 2 matchup.

He was present for all three practices ahead of Week 2, which generally indicates he will play. However, he also faced allegations of sexual assault on Tuesday, just after signing with New England. It seemed possible the Patriots or NFL would hold Brown off the field while the civil suit took its course. But the league kept Brown off the commissioner’s exempt list, and the Patriots seem to be preparing to play him.

While Brown’s status has come into question off the field, he has been impressing his new teammates on the field. While Brown seemed to do everything in his power not to play for the Oakland Raiders — between his foot problems and helmet issues — the veteran wideout has drawn constant praise since joining New England.
