The Cleveland Browns tweeted out a hype video for running back Nick Chubb. That’s perfectly normal, and those things tend to draw Dawg Pound loyalists in the comments.
This time, a Dawg of a different breed chimed in. Chubb’s Georgia Bulldog backfield mate, Sony Michel, retweeted the post and added his own comment,
“Favorite player in the NFL”.
Chubb and Michel each rushed for over 1,200 yards in 2017, their final season together at Georgia. Taken less than 10 spots apart in the 2018 NFL Draft, each posted over 900 yards rushing as rookies.
Much to the chagrin of Patriots fans, who quickly flooded the responses with pleas for Tom Brady, Michel proved that college ties bind hard.
