FOXBOROUGH, Mass. _ Tom Brady's hand was just fine. So was his Captain Comeback cape.
With the Patriots losing the AFC Championship Game by 10 points in the fourth quarter, Brady led them on two precision-filled drives, capped with touchdown passes to Danny Amendola.
The Jaguars were brilliant for three quarters but couldn't stop New England's comeback express, as the Patriots pulled off a 24-20 triumph at Gillette Stadium.
Next stop Minneapolis for Super Bowl LII.
The Patriots will meet the winner of Sunday evening's NFC title game between the Vikings and Eagles, on Feb. 4 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
New England is making its NFL record 10th trip to the Super Bowl and is 5-2 in those games in the Brady/Bill Belichick era.
Jacksonville took a 14-10 lead into halftime, and stretched it to 20-10 early in the fourth quarter after field goals of 54 and 43 yards by Josh Lambo.
The Patriots offense was stuck without tight end Rob Gronkowski, who suffered a helmet-to-helmet hit before halftime and didn't return.
For five days, most chatter centered on Brady's hand injury. He reportedly needed stitches after colliding with teammate Rex Burkhead on a hand-off drill in Wednesday's practice.
Listed as questionable going into the game, Brady alleviated concerns immediately. He wasn't wearing a glove on his right hand, just some black taping around his wrist and thumb area. During warmups, he made all the passes with his usual zip and accuracy.
But Jacksonville quarterback Blake Bortles was the one with the hot hand for three quarters. At one point, Bortles had completed 18 of 22 passes for 225 yards and a touchdown. He played turnover free, and Jacksonville had been 8-0 in the eight previous games when he did that.
Brady was unfazed. The first fourth quarter touchdown drive went 85 yards. Amendola set up the second one with a 20-yard punt return to Jacksonville's 30. Brady found Amendola in the back of the end zone for the winning score, and Amendola made a leaping, tiptoe catch.
