The New England Patriots may benefit greatly from Andrew Luck’s retirement announcement. But the team’s players weren’t exactly celebrating the retirement of the Indianapolis Colts’ star quarterback.
Some players were stunned. Some players showed signs of support. And many players were furious to see that Colts fans booed Luck that the end of the team’s preseason game on Saturday night. (Luck did not play due to injuries.) After reports emerged during the game of Luck’s impending retirement, he addressed reporters in a press conference and made his announcement with a heartbreaking explanation of why he’s leaving the game.
That’s when Patriots players took to Twitter to show love.
