Patriots’ Phillip Dorsett out, 6 other questionable vs. Giants

The New York Giants will be without several key players on Thursday night against the New England Patriots, including running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) and tight end Evan Engram (knee).

However, the Patriots aren’t exactly the epitome of health themselves.

New England has ruled out wide receiver Phillip Dorsett II (hamstring) and listed six others as questionable. Those players include wide receivers Julian Edelman (chest) and Josh Gordon (knee), safeties Patrick Chung (heel) and Nate Ebner (groin), linebacker Shilique Calhoun (ankle) and running back Rex Burkhead (foot).

All six of the Patriots with questionable designations were limited participants in Wednesday’s practice.

With Dorsett out and both Edelman and Gordon listed as questionable, the Patriots may turn to Matthew Slater to take on more of an offensive role, as well as Jakobi Meyers and Gunner Olszewski.

If Chung and Ebner are unable to play, expected Duron Harmon to draw the start and either Terrence Brooks or Jordan Richards to see a larger role.
