Patriots’ Mohamed Sanu has quiet debut in rainy game vs. Browns

Mohamed Sanu had a quiet debut game for the New England Patriots.

After getting traded to New England this past week, it isn’t surprising that he and Tom Brady aren’t on the same page yet. Many wide receivers have came into this offense and admitted that the playbook is difficult to grasp, so it’ll take Sanu some time to learn.

He finished the game with two catches for 23 yards, but his first catch as a Patriot came in a crucial fourth down situation. The Patriots defeated the Cleveland Browns in the Week 8 matchup, but the offense primarily ran through Julian Edelman and James White. Edelman finished the game with eight catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns — White had four catches for 75 yards.

Sanu recorded 33 receptions, 313 yards and a touchdown in his first seven games with the Atlanta Falcons this season. He’ll have eight more games to get reps in with Brady and this offense before the post season comes along.
