The New England Patriots made it to their third-straight Super Bowl this year, but fan favorite Danny Amendola, who had been instrumental in the Patriots’ previous two Super Bowl victories, was no longer with the team, having signed with the Miami Dolphins last offseason.
But, after just one year with Miami, Amendola has been released. Amendola finished the year with 59 catches for 575 yards and just one touchdown. The receiver took to Twitter to bid goodbye to Dolphins fans.
As expected, though, the responses he got back were mostly from Patriots fans begging for him to come back to New England and help the team get trophy number seven next year. Check out some of the responses below.
