With the Patriots losing by a 22-12 score to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Patriots fans and analysts understandably had strong reactions upon the realization that the Patriots have been eliminated from the 2020 playoffs with this loss. This marks the first time since 2008 that the Patriots have not been in the playoffs.
Normally a playoff fixture, New England will now have to play the final two games of their 2020 season for pride. This is understandably not something New England has had to do in quite some time, and it will be interesting to see who stands out over the final couple games of the season as the Patriots look to build for next year.
