As Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense took the field for their first series at Gillette Stadium, New England Patriots fans responded in a big way. They booed Brady and the rest of the Tampa Bay offense, in the quarterback’s debut as a visitor.
There was some speculation as to how the quarterback would be received when he took the field for the first time. Brady did not expect cheers in his return, and many fans obliged. That said, there were cheers for Brady in the pregame ceremonies. He received many chants and cheers. But then the reception was quite different to start things off.
