Patriots’ Cole Strange threw the opening pitch for a minor league game, and it was not pretty

New England Patriots offensive guard Cole Strange didn’t seem to hold back on his opening pitch for the Chattanooga Lookouts, a minor-league affiliate for the Cincinnati Reds.

Strange may have zipped the ball — but the offensive lineman and newly-minted first-round pick threw a pitch that was a little off the mark. He threw well outside, hitting the dirt outside the batter’s box in the moments before the game for the Lookouts, a The Double-A team that plays in the Southern League.

Strange is getting paid to throw defensive linemen around a football field — and not toss a baseball. So we’ll give him a pass on this one.

That’s ball 1 for Strange.
