Patriots-Titans joint preseason practice dates and times announced

The New England Patriots will head to Nissan Stadium in Nashville for a couple of joint practices with the Tennessee Titans ahead of their Aug. 17 preseason game.

On Tuesday, the dates and times for the practices were officially announced as Wednesday, Aug. 14 and Thursday, Aug. 15 at 9:45 a.m.-noon. Both practices are expected to be open to the public.

Nissan Stadium served as a house of horrors for the Patriots in 2018, when they were surprisingly blown out 34-10 on the road. In many ways, the Patriots used that loss as motivation to build toward a sixth Super Bowl run.

It’s no surprise the two teams have agreed to meet in a practice setting — former Patriots linebacker Mike Vrabel is in his second year as coach of the Titans. Patriots coach Bill Belichick has also agreed to meet for joint practices with the Detroit Lions, who are coached by Matt Patricia. Patricia served as Patriots defensive coordinator for seven years.

There will be plenty of former Patriots players in Titans uniforms to add to the drama of the practices, including Super Bowl XLIX hero Malcolm Butler, Logan Ryan and Dion Lewis.
