Patriots’ 2019 coaching staff slowly coming into fruition

The New England Patriots lost five assistant coaches after the 2018 season, and there hasn’t been much clarity on who’s replacing them until now.

Although the Patriots haven’t made an official announcement on the exact titles — coaches gave an idea of where they would specialize in the 2019 season during media availability on Friday.

Here’s the most updated list of the coaching staff.

Joe Judge was the biggest surprise out of this list — he’ll be spending time as the wide receivers coach along with special teams. Bill Belichick will likely handle the defensive coordinator duties after losing Brian Flores last season, and Greg Schiano — who spent about a month at the position.

The Patriots have slowly shored up some holes in the coaching staff and also within the roster.
