Patrick Vieira makes Conor Gallagher prediction as Chelsea loanee impresses in Spurs win

Patrick Vieira believes Conor Gallagher, will get "lots of goals" for Crystal Palace following a stellar performance against Tottenham on Saturday afternoon.

Vieira recorded his first victory as Palace manager with Gallagher playing a crucial role in the club's success.

The Chelsea loanee ran his opponents ragged and his infectious energy was vital to tire the legs of a Tottenham team who had been reduced to 10 men.

Gallagher also played a key role in two goals, earning a penalty when his cross was handled by Ben Davies and setting-up Odsonne Edouard's second of the game to wrap-up a comfortable victory for Palace.

Speaking after the game, Patrick Vieira was full of praise for the Chelsea loanee and made a prediction about Gallagher adding more goals to his game.

"He’s full of energy," Vieira told BT Sport.

"He likes to get inside the box, he’s working hard with and without the ball. He loves to get round this area.

"I believe he’s one of the players who can get a lot of goals for us. He’s a lovely kid, his work ethic is fantastic, he comes in everyday with a smile on his face and he want to improve himself. He’s a positive player."

It was not just his manager who was impressed by Gallagher's performance.

BT Sport pundits Peter Crouch and Rio Ferdinand were also full of praise for the Palace midfielder following the final whistle.

"He was my man of the match today, he was immense, energy against people but he’s got the legs to get around people and a great assist." Rio Ferdinand said.

Peter Crouch seconded the former Manchester United defender's thoughts.

"You can see why fans are taking to him as well, he’s all action, energy and good quality."

Gallagher has made a bright start to his career at Palace. He scored a brace against West Ham United prior to the international week and currently has four goal involvements in his first three Premier League games for Palace.

The Chelsea loanee is yet to make a competitive appearance for the Blues- but if he continues to catch the eye he could fight himself into Thomas Tuchel's reckoning next season.

Particularly if he continues to contribute in the opposition's final third with goals and assists.
