Rangers are set to appoint former Manchester United director of operations Jim Liggett as their chief operating officer.
As first reported by The Rangers Review, Liggett is going to take the role on an interim basis with his start date next month.
It's thought the ex-Old Trafford director will remain in the post until the end of the season as work continues in the background to recruit a candidate to take the role on a permanent basis.
The experienced operator spent more than 25 years working at Greater Manchester Police, then moved to Manchester United as head of security.
He would go on to work as director of operations in 2019. He left the club last month.
Liggett was a colleague of Rangers chief executive Patrick Stewart during his time at OId Trafford with the pair set to be reunited at Ibrox.
