Patrick Peterson close to lead after 1 round of golf tournament

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson loves to golf in the offseason and is participating in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe, as he has in the past. However, after one round of play, he is only two points off the lead.

After play on Friday, Romo had 26 points, as the tournament is scored by points rather than strokes.

Peterson shot an even par for the day but had 24 points, in second place.

Teammate Larry Fitzgerald and retired former Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer also are in the tourney. Palmer finished Friday tied for sixth with 20 points, while Fitz finished tied for 19th place with 12 points.
