Patrick Mahomes was completely stunned after Marquez Valdes-Scantling dropped a game-winning Chiefs TD

The Kansas City Chiefs were a touchdown away from almost scoring a comeback victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

However, a beautiful pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes went right through the hands of wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling and fell to the ground as the Chiefs would lose their Super Bowl rematch with the Eagles.

Valdes-Scantling had a great angle on the ball, and whether it was the rainy weather or just a lack of grasp, he couldn’t corral the ball in for the score.

Mahomes looked speechless as he threw his hands into the air and stared on in shock at the almost-touchdown that likely would’ve won the game.

While life will inevitably go on in Kansas City, this is the kind of brutal drop that can linger with a team long past the end of the game.

While the Chiefs need their entire wide receiver room to step it up and help Mahomes out, Valdes-Scantling will be the one getting all of the attention from Kansas City fans after he dropped a potential game winner.
