Less than four weeks after suffering a patellar dislocation against the Broncos, reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes will return to the field on Sunday to lead the Chiefs against the Titans.
Mahomes was initially expected to be out four around four to six weeks, but he was already back on the practice field just six days after the injury. Mahomes wasn’t immediately ruled out of a return against the Packers, but the Chiefs opted to give their franchise player more time to recover. Matt Moore went 1-1 as a starter during Mahomes’ absence.
On Friday, Chiefs coach Andy Reid said that he’s planning to start Mahomes on the road in Nashville.
