Patrick Mahomes stared down a ref in the middle of his run

Patrick Mahomes finds a way to do something ridiculous on the football field seemingly every game, and Sunday was no exception.

During the first half of the Chiefs’ game against the Lions, Mahomes took off on third down and scrambled for the easy first down. But keep an eye on Mahomes.

In the middle of the run, he stared back at referee Walt Anderson to possibly look for a penalty flag. And then he continued his run. Usually, you’d like a player to keep his eyes downfield on a run, but Mahomes’ field awareness is just on a different level. We’ve seen the no-look pass, and now, we have a no-look run.

He knew he was picking up the first down with no Lions players in the area.

The game is that easy for Mahomes.
