Patrick Mahomes reveals what he learned behind Alex Smith as a rookie

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes doesn’t shy away from praising Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith when he gets the chance.

Mahomes did again recently, praising the way the veteran helped him along during their time together in Kansas City:

While their time together was short, it is clear Mahomes values what he was able to do while sitting and learning for a year. Of course, he went on to throw 50 touchdowns this season and play in a conference title game.

As for Smith, his playing future remains an unknown due to the injury suffered last season. It’s clear before coming to Washington though, he played some small part in helping develop one of the NFL’s best.
