The lesson here is simple, and a mistake that probably isn’t being made ever again.
Do not call Patrick Mahomes “Pat” or his mother Randi may come after you on social media.
During ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast, analyst Louis Riddick apparently called Mahomes “Pat,” and Randi took to Twitter to say she “may scream” if that didn’t stop. Pat Mahomes is Patrick’s dad and a former Major League pitcher.
The tweet was later called out on the broadcast, and per ESPN, Riddick — who has called him “Pat” in the past — said, “Guilty, guilty, guilty. I apologize, Patrick.”
Randi was satisfied.
