Patrick Dempsey gushes about 'fun' times in Ireland as shouts out another Irish business

Patrick Dempsey’s love affair with Ireland continues as the star gushed about his ‘fun’ times filming around the country.

The Hollywood star is in town to film the sequel of Disney’s flick Enchanted, titled ‘Disenchanted’ with Amy Adams.

And he has made his feelings on his stay very clear since his arrival last month, with various posts to social media raving about his new base.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, the actor said: “I love being in Ireland and I’m having so much fun working on this film #disenchanted.”

He also gave a shout out to Irish company Inis Meáin Knitting Company, as he put up a picture posing in one of their jumpers.

It comes after businessman Louis Copeland says he has been inundated with phone calls and visitors since the Grey’s Anatomy star dropped into his shop at the weekend.

The ‘McDreamy’ star took some time out at the weekend to browse the selection of suits on offer in Dublin’s famed Louis Copeland and Sons.

Mr Copeland said he originally intended for it to be a discreet visit, until Dempsey went public.

In a picture shared with his 6.2 million followers on Instagram, Dempsey said he had “a great morning” at the recently reopened shop.

A video of the pair was also shared on Louis Copeland and Sons’ account, captioned: “What a pleasure to have McDreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey, into our Wicklow Street store this morning. I’m sure he’ll manage to do those suits justice!”

Mr Copeland told Newstalk Breakfast with Susan Keogh about the surreal encounter, and praised the former Grey’s Anatomy actor for being “such a nice guy”.

The renowned tailor added that business enquiries have been through the roof since the visit.

“I can’t believe how many phone calls we’ve had and people actually came down to the stop to look in and see was he still there,” he said.
