Patrick Chung pleads not guilty to cocaine possession charge

Patrick Chung waived his arraignment and pleaded not guilty to his felony charge of cocaine possession, according to a New Hampshire Supreme Court spokesperson.

The New England Patriots safety was set to be arraigned on Wednesday in New Hampshire after being indicted for possession of cocaine. Chung was indicted on August 8, and the incident took place in his home on June 25.

Police arrived at his home for a possible break-in after his alarm went off, and they found cocaine. He was reportedly not present at the house during the incident.

Now that he waived his arraignment, he will next appear in court on November 8 in Belknap County Superior Court in Laconia.

Chung participated in New England’s practice on Sunday, but he wasn’t present for the preseason matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday.
