Patrick Beverley trolls Warriors after blowout win: ‘Y’all cheated long enough’

The Los Angeles Clippers introduced the Warriors to a harsh new era in the NBA, blowing out Golden State in their new arena 141-122 on Thursday night. The Warriors expected to take a step back after losing Kevin Durant in a trade and Klay Thompson to injury, but Golden State’s awful performance led coach Steve Kerr to say after the game that he expects more blowout losses to come.

Clippers guard Patrick Beverley, one of the fiercest trash-talkers in the game, called out the dejected Warriors fans that left early during the loss late in the game.

Afterward, Beverley trolled the Chase Center staff inside the Clippers locker room, according to Yahoo’s Chris Haynes.

In the Clippers’ locker room, Patrick Beverley was having some fun with some of the arena staff workers who help tidy up the facility.

“Y’all a little different without KD, I see,” Beverley playfully jabbed. “Uh-huh, y’all cheated long enough. It’s OK. Y’all had a good run. Back to reality.”

Charles Barkely raised eyebrows on Thursday night with his brutally honest assessment of the Warriors after the first half. During the break, Barkley told Klay Thompson that his team simply wasn’t good enough to make the playoffs.

The Warriors are likely a better team than they showed against one of the NBA’s best, but if Golden State starts the season with a losing streak, things could get ugly quickly for Warriors fans.
