Patrick Bamford wins fitness battle as Eddie Nketiah ruled for Leeds United's clash with QPR

Marcelo Bielsa has made a couple of changes to his Leeds United line-up for the visit of Queen's Park Rangers.

The major news is that Eddie Nketiah is out of the squad entirely after suffering a lower abdomen issue in training yesterday.

There had been some expectations that the Arsenal loanee is in line for a first Championship start after the knock suffered by Patrick Bamford last week, but the striker is fit enough to continue up top.

The Leeds manager had suggested in his pre-match press conference that there it could be quite a different line-up, Gjanni Alioski a new injury concern while Adam Forshaw and Barry Douglas remaining on the sidelines.

Kiko Casilla remains in goal, while Ben White and Mateusz Klich in defence and midfield respectively continue their streak of starting every league match for the Whites this season, while Helder Costa and Jack Harrison remain on the flanks.

Club captain Liam Cooper comes back into the backline after reappearing from the bench at Hillsborough last weekend, replacing Gaetano Berardi. Stuart Dallas drops in to replace Alioski at left-back, with Tyler Roberts coming into midfield for his first start of the season.

As he teased on Thursday, creative talisman Pablo Hernandez is fit again, back in the matchday squad for the first time since the 1-1 draw against Derby over a month ago, but he has to settle for a place on the bench. Jamie Shackleton, who featured for the Under-23s earlier in the week, misses out.

Leeds United XI: Kiko Casilla; Luke Ayling, Ben White, Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas; Kalvin Phillips ; Jack Harrison, Mateusz Klich, Tyler Roberts, Helder Costa; Patrick Bamford

Subs: Illan Meslier, Pablo Hernandez, Gaetano Berardi, Robbie Gotts, Leif Davis, Mateusz Bogusz, Jack Clarke
