Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has expressed his delight after inspiring Leeds United to a 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
Bamford , who has come in for hefty criticism in recent weeks, ended his 10-game goal drought by dispatching a penalty on the half-hour mark before he impressively set-up Manchester City loanee Jack Harrison to double the Whites' lead just five minutes later.
Whilst the victory ensured that Leeds would head into the international break on the cusp of the automatic promotion places, it also eased the pressure on Bamford, who had gone without a goal since August.
After a solid afternoon's work at Elland Road, Bamford took to Instagram to express his delight, along with a collection of celebration photographs. The striker wrote: "A picture says a thousand words. Fans were brilliant once more, see you after the break. #alaw."
As well as Bamford taking to social media to express his delight, some of his teammates did as well.
On Instagram, midfielder Kalvin Phillips was also quick to express his delight in the result, as well as praising teammate Bamford. He wrote: "Good win against a tough team! Buzzing for @Patrick_bamford. Class support as always!
Also on Instagram, Luke Ayling said: "Great little period. Rest up and see you in a couple of weeks. #mot
Jack Harrison, also posting on Instagram, simply wrote: "#MOT #Leeds United"
